SUMMARY:Catholic Schools Week
DESCRIPTION:Launched in 1974\, National Catholic Schools Week is an annual celebration of Catholic Education in the United States. This year’s theme is: “Catholic Schools United in Faith and Community”. Locally\, Sacred Heart will celebrate the following: \n  \nCatholic Schools Week: January 25 – January 31\, 2026 \n  \n*See updated schedule below in (*) as of 1/28/26 \n  \nMonday – Jan 26: Celebrating our Community and Families (*School closed due to inclement weather conditions.) \n\n\n\nOpening Mass at 8:00am with the procession of SHCS banner and class banners.\nOpen House after Mass until 10:00am. Please visit our Montessori\, elementary\, and high school buildings. Refreshments will be served in the elementary building for guests.\nStudents write appreciation letters for those who serve our Community.\n\n\n\n  \nTuesday – Jan 27: Celebrating our Faculty/Staff (*School closed due to inclement weather conditions.) \n\n\n\nStudents write letters thanking Faculty/Staff.\nAlumni recognize Faculty/Staff.\n\n\n\n  \nWednesday – Jan 28: Celebrating Vocations (*School closed due to inclement weather conditions.*) \n\n\n\nStudents write letters and notes of thanks to Father Hoodenpyle\, Bishop Olson\, Holy Angels Convent\, and Subiaco Abbey.\nFather Hoodenpyle will speak to students about his vocation.\n\n\n\n  \nThursday – Jan 29: Celebrating Our Nation (*School closed; Family Luncheon rescheduled to Thursday\, February 5th*) \n\nStudents and staff extend thanks to our local VFW Post\, police department\, fire department\, and hospital for their continuous efforts for safety and our freedom.\nFamily Luncheon with parents\, grandparents\, and friends. $5.00 per guest for a chicken fried chicken meal. *Please RSVP to the school office.
