Anointing of the Sick
The Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick is for those who are sick and aging. It is a sacred moment when we pray for God’s grace to strengthen someone who is suffering from any form of illness.

Baptism
According to Fort Worth diocesan guidelines, baptismal preparation is required for parents requesting baptism for their children, and strongly encouraged for godparents/sponsors.
The parish provides quarterly preparation classes on the first Saturday of January, April, July and October beginning at 9:00 am in the Meeting Room of the Parish Office. Please contact the Parish Office at 940.759.2500 to register.
You may also attend a baptismal preparation class at another parish if they offer a time more convenient for you. Below is the contact information for nearby parishes.

Once preparation has been completed, parents can request a date for baptism, either during any regularly scheduled mass or at the Group Baptism, which is the 2nd Sunday of each month following the 10:30 am mass.
Please note that a Birth Certificate or Verification of Birth Facts is required for all children to be baptized. Additionally, a Baptismal Information Form is needed and can be found below.

First Communion & Reconciliation
FIRST HOLY COMMUNION
First Holy Communion is a person’s first reception of the sacrament of the Eucharist. As Catholics, we believe the Eucharist is the central focus of the sacramental life of the Church.
RECONCILIATION
SACRAMENTAL PREPARATION
Sacramental preparation for First Communion and Reconciliation typically starts at 7 years of age or 2nd grade. Preparation involves both parents and children. If you are interested in registering for Sacramental Prep for First Communion or Reconciliation, please contact the Sacred Heart Parish Office at 940.759.2500. Those preparing for First Communion and Reconciliation will need to complete and submit the Registration, Liability and Consent forms. Please note that you will also need to provide a copy of the child’s Baptismal Certificate if not baptized at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

- Formation Class: Sat, Apr 18 from 10-11am in Community Center (*Note: At least one parent needs to attend with the child)
- First Reconciliation – Option 1: Wed, Apr 29 from 7-8pm in Church
- First Reconciliation – Option 2: Sat, May 9 from 2:30-3:30pm in Church
FIRST COMMUNION DATES:
- May Crowning: Monday, May 4 – Children may dress in First Communion outfit and participate in procession. (*Note: Optional and TBD)
- Formation Class: Wed, May 13 from 7-8pm in Community Center (*Note: At least one parent needs to attend with the child)
- First Communion – Option 1: Sun, June 7 at 10:30am in Church
- First Communion – Option 2: Sun, June 28 at 10:30am in Church
