Catholic Schools Week
Launched in 1974, National Catholic Schools Week is an annual celebration of Catholic Education in the United States. This year’s theme is: “Catholic Schools United in Faith and Community”. Locally, Sacred Heart will celebrate the following:

Monday – Jan 26: Celebrating our Community and Families (*School closed due to inclement weather conditions.)

- Opening Mass at 8:00am with the procession of SHCS banner and class banners.
- Open House after Mass until 10:00am. Please visit our Montessori, elementary, and high school buildings. Refreshments will be served in the elementary building for guests.
- Students write appreciation letters for those who serve our Community.
Tuesday – Jan 27: Celebrating our Faculty/Staff (*School closed due to inclement weather conditions.)

- Students write letters thanking Faculty/Staff.
- Alumni recognize Faculty/Staff.
Wednesday – Jan 28: Celebrating Vocations (*School closed due to inclement weather conditions.*)

- Students write letters and notes of thanks to Father Hoodenpyle, Bishop Olson, Holy Angels Convent, and Subiaco Abbey.
- Father Hoodenpyle will speak to students about his vocation.
Thursday – Jan 29: Celebrating Our Nation (*School closed; Family Luncheon rescheduled to Thursday, February 5th*)
- Students and staff extend thanks to our local VFW Post, police department, fire department, and hospital for their continuous efforts for safety and our freedom.
- Family Luncheon with parents, grandparents, and friends. $5.00 per guest for a chicken fried chicken meal. *Please RSVP to the school office. (*Family Luncheon rescheduled to Thursday, February 5, 2025*)
Friday – January 30: Celebrating Our Students
