Campus Security
To ensure the safety and security of all personnel and students, Sacred Heart Catholic School operates a closed and fully locked campus. Visitors to campus are required to check in and out of the front office located in the high school building. All visitors must obtain a Visitor’s Pass to remain on campus and provide a state-issued driver’s license or state-issued identification card. The campus is secured by video cameras and any person entering campus will be monitored by video cameras.
Safe Environment
Creating a safe environment is a priority in the Catholic Diocese of Fort Worth. The Charter for the Protection of Children and Young People, established by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, requires our diocese to establish a “safe environment program” and provides the necessary elements of this program. The training sessions for preschoolers through adults offer instruction in self-protection and the protection of children, youth and vulnerable adults. All individuals involved in any capacity with Sacred Heart Catholic School including faculty and staff, adult volunteers and students MUST have safe environment training. Safe Environment Training for adults must be renewed every two years, while youth and teens receive training on an annual basis. Emergency Management
Sacred Heart Catholic School also has a certified nurse regularly on campus. Our faculty and staff are fully trained in CPR and AED via the American Red Cross. Furthermore, staff members are fully trained in the administration of Epi-Pens and Blood Blorne Pathogens. Office staff are also trained in Type 1 Diabetic Care. All stakeholders are aware of crisis management plans and participate in regular campus-wide drills.
