St. Joseph is regarded as the patron and protector of Sacred Heart Parish. Since the early years, our town has considered his feast day as a local holy day. After the first two Catholic church buildings in Muenster were destroyed by tornados, the community vowed to honor the feast day of St. Joseph as a solemnity to procure protection from devastating storms.
