Give

Sacred Heart Catholic School depends on the generosity of our donors and supporters in order to provide an affordable and sustainable education to all who seek it. We serve a wide range of families from various socioeconomic backgrounds. Your donation, no matter the size, will contribute to providing all of our students with an outstanding Catholic education and ensure the success of our school for future generations. All gifts are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. Thank you for your support!

Capital Campaign

A majority of improvement projects at Sacred Heart Catholic School are funded through donations made by parishioners and other generous benefactors. Currently, we have a multilevel parishwide Capital Campaign: “Our Time, Our Community, Our Future” that aims to raise $4 million over the span of three years for revitalization projects benefiting both the school and the church. Launched in September 2022, the campaign has already funded new bleachers for the football field, modern HVAC for the 100 year old elementary building and updated fire alarms for the high school building. See below for more details on campaign projects for the school.

Donations are accepted in various forms including cash/check, securities, life insurance, real estate, planned giving and corporate matching gifts. Click HERE to give to the Sacred Heart Parish Capital Campaign or contact the Sacred Heart Parish Office at 940-759-2500.

Project: Football Field Bleacher Replacement and Sound System Installation

The installation of new bleachers is long overdue in order to provide public seating that is both safe and comfortable. (Project funded and completed in Fall 2023)

Project: Elementary School HVAC Installation

Modern HVAC installation will provide a comfortable learning environment that is not met with the current antiquated system. This will help with noise reduction and allow students to focus better in the heat of summer and cold of winter. (Project funded and to be completed in Summer 2024)

Project: Fire Alarm Installation for High School

The existing fire alarm systems in the high school are in urgent need of proper updating for compliance with the current fire code. (Project funded and to be completed in 2024-25 School Year)

Project: Elementary School Restroom Renovation

Renovations to two restrooms in the grade school will make them ADA compliant and allow for increased privacy for students. (Project not yet funded)

Project: Painting of Facilities

A fresh coat of paint will be added to multiple facilities including the basketball gym. (Project not yet funded)

Project: Permanent Replacement of Field House

The previous Sacred Heart field house was destroyed in the 2011 downburst. A permanent replacement to the field house will allow for an expanded weight room, dedicated dressing rooms for away teams and referees, and proper storage for athletic equipment. (Project not yet funded)

Trust Fund

Bequeath a perpetual gift! Founded in 1978, the Sacred Heart Teachers’ Sustentation Fund (“Trust Fund”) was the result of the vision and determination of inspired parents, who along with the pastor, wanted to ensure that the children of Sacred Heart Parish always had the opportunity to obtain a Catholic education in a Catholic school located in Muenster, Texas. Realizing that the largest single expense or cost for running a school is teachers’ salaries, the Sacred Heart Trust Fund is an IRS tax-exempt charitable organization, with the sole purpose of supplementing salaries of the teachers at Sacred Heart Catholic School. The Trust Fund gratefully accepts donations of any size, which can be mailed directly to:

SH Teachers Sustentation Fund
P.O. Box 97

A monthly autodraft is also a simple and convenient way to give for as little as $10 per month. To set up an autodraft, simply print out the following PDF Auto-Draft Authorization Form and return it to the Trust Fund.

Shared Stories

Joe & Ruth Felderhoff Endowed Scholarship Fund

The four daughters of Joe ’53 and Ruth decided to honor their parents by creating a Memorial Fund benefiting our students. Both long-time teachers at SHCS, Joe and Ruth selflessly served in any capacity they were needed. Christy ‘80, Jenny ‘82, Anne ‘84, and Rose’85 agreed that they wanted to preserve the amazing legacy of service demonstrated by their parents in the form this Scholarship Fund. Their Fund will help ensure that generations to come will have the opportunity to know and live their Catholic faith.

Paul and Marie Endres Endowed Scholarship Fund

Mary Ellen Endres ‘67 and her six siblings describe Sacred Heart Catholic School as “incredibly important” to their parents. In deciding what they could do to honor Paul and Marie, they chose to create an endowed fund in their parents’ names. Mary states, “we took the legacy they gifted to us and turned it back into a tribute to them.” This generous gift will benefit SHCS into perpetuity as the family chose to distribute only part of the interest earned each year, with the principal amount always remaining intact.

These Funds are just a few of the ways you may memorialize a loved one, support SHCS in general, or contribute to a specific need at the school that is dear to you. We are happy to assist in your giving goals to ensure funds are used as you direct. Tom Fuhrmann Family Memorial Fund
(Special Projects & Immediate Tuition Assistance)
Tom and Gloria, both SHCS graduates, were long-time supporters of Catholic education. Upon Tom’s passing, Gloria sought to honor him by creating the Tom Fuhrmann Family Memorial Fund. Says Gloria, “w
hen Tom and I returned to Muenster after being away for 45 years, we began attending daily Mass at Sacred Heart, and after seeing all the students in their uniforms, we both felt that we were truly home. Donating to Sacred Heart Catholic School, through physical labor, prayer or monetarily, truly has been a labor of love.” Gloria hopes her actions “encourage others to donate to any of the many memorial funds at Sacred Heart, or even create their own fund in an effort to give back to this great institution that gives us so much.”
